Find their Pawda fit
A good fit starts with the right measurements. Before choosing a size, measure your dog rather than relying on breed, weight or their usual size in another brand.
All you need is a soft measuring tape, your dog and a couple of minutes.
How to measure your dog for a harness
1. Measure the neck
Measure around the lower part of your dog’s neck where the harness naturally sits. Keep the tape comfortably fitted without pulling it tight.
2. Measure the chest
Measure around the widest part of your dog’s chest, usually just behind the front legs.
3. Check both measurements
Compare the neck and chest measurements with the harness size chart below. Your dog should fall comfortably within the measurement range for the size selected.

How to measure your dog for a collar
Measure around your dog’s neck where their collar naturally sits.
Keep the tape comfortably fitted rather than tight. Once the collar is fitted, you should be able to comfortably slide two fingers between the collar and your dog’s neck.

Between two sizes?
If your dog's measurements sit between two sizes, look at the full adjustment range rather than choosing from size names alone.
Choose the size that allows the harness or collar to sit securely without restricting movement or creating large gaps.

Check the fit
Once your Pawda London harness & collar arrives:
- Make sure all straps sit flat without twisting.
- Check that the harness does not rub underneath the front legs.
- Make sure your dog can move their shoulders freely.
- Check that the neckline is not pressing against the throat.
- Make sure the harness cannot easily be backed out of.
- Check the fit again before walks and readjust when necessary.
For collars, you should be able to comfortably slide two fingers between the collar and your dog's neck without the collar hanging loosely.
Puppies and growing dogs should have their fit checked regularly.

Should I choose a size based on my dog's breed?
No. Dogs of the same breed can have very different proportions, so we recommend measuring your dog and using the measurements above.
How tight should the measuring tape be?
Keep the tape against your dog's body without pulling it tightly or compressing their coat.
What if I don't have a measuring tape?
Use a piece of non stretch string, mark where the ends meet and measure the string against a ruler.
Should I measure my dog again if I already know their size?
Yes. Sizes can vary between brands, and your dog's weight, coat and body shape can change over time.
How often should I check the fit?
Check regularly and before walks, particularly for puppies, growing dogs or dogs whose weight or coat changes.
